Katrien Vercauteren is an accomplished professional in the fields of aviation and psychology. Recognized by the European Association for Aviation Psychology (EAAP), she is also a Clinical Psychologist, Solution-Focused Psychotherapist, and Commercial Airline Pilot. Katrien is part of the Circle of Expert Group for Mental Health of the European Society of Aerospace Medicine (ESAM).

With a flying career spanning over two decades, Katrien currently commands the Falcon 2000 EX as a Captain. She has obtained type ratings on multiple aircraft, including the Fokker 50, Fokker 100, Gulfstream 550, Hawker Beechjet 400, Global Express, Boeing 747 and Boeing 737. Her aviation experience encompasses airline operations, business aviation, and cargo operations. Additionally, she has contributed significantly to the Safety department of a major European business aviation company and served as the Nominated Person Flight Operations for a helicopter company specializing in Emergency Medical Services, Search and Rescue, Oil and Gas Operations, and Hoisting Services. 

In her role as the Clinical Director of CREWMIND, Katrien oversees a team of trained peers and is working closely with a network of clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists specialized in aviation. Her private practice focuses on treating psychiatric and psychological issues, such as addiction, mood disorders, personality disorders, grief, and trauma, and she provides specialized support for aircrew facing aviation-specific challenges.

Katrien is proficient in Dutch, English, and French, offering out-patient treatment, psycho-diagnostics, and online consultations.
